Privacy policy

As of October 2026

Who is responsible?

This website and Indoor Laps are operated by Schnitzler GmbH, Curt-Stenvert-Bogen 21, 50859 Köln, Germany, email: [email protected] (more in the legal notice).

Visiting this website

The website and the downloads are hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare R2; Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you open a page, Cloudflare processes the data needed to deliver it: IP address, time, requested file and browser type. This serves delivery and protection against attacks (legitimate interest in secure operation, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Cloudflare is our processor (Art. 28 GDPR) and may also process data in the USA; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). We do not analyse the visits of individual people; for the number of downloads we only use aggregated counts without IP addresses.

Cookies, analytics, fonts

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and loads no content from third parties. The fonts are served from the same server as the page. That is why there is no consent banner.

Email

If you write to us, for example with feedback on the beta, we use your address and message only to reply and to improve the game (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We delete the messages when they are no longer needed for that, at the latest when the beta ends.

The game

Indoor Laps runs on your own computer and needs no account. Profile, rides, personal bests and settings are stored only locally; the game sends nothing to us. Trainers, heart rate monitors and other devices connect directly to your computer over Bluetooth or ANT+. If you use the Strava upload, a ride is uploaded from your computer straight to Strava (Strava, Inc., USA) after you confirm it; Strava's privacy policy applies to that.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Please send requests to [email protected].

You can complain to any data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2-4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, www.ldi.nrw.de.
